February 11, 1945. Winston Churchill of Great Britain, Franklin Roosevelt
of USA, and Josef Stalin of Russia, and their advisors met in this room
to decide the post-war boundaries of Europe. In so doing, they shaped
the post-modern political history of Europe. This room was the dining
room in the Livadia Palace near Yalta, Crimea. Livadia was the summer
home of the last Czar of Russia, Nicholas II. The palace is well-preserved
and contains many historical exhibits.
